My first real post... It's now September in beautiful Vermont and believe it or not the leaves are already changing and autumn is in the air, clear and crisp. The horses are beginning to grow their winter fuzzies!

The new house has begun! We now have a foundation on our lovely 30 acres in horse heaven. Our new driveway winds through the woods and opens onto a breathtaking hillside looking out to a ski mountain and the valley below. We, of course, are way over budget on this house. You've heard it all before...take what you want to spend and add another 50%! I'm now a believer!

We still have a lot of details to work out, but we are just taking it step by step, trying not to get overwhelmed. Can't wait to get started on the barn. I'll post some pictures when I can figure out how!
